Saint-Gobain: 4 acquisitions abroad


In a statement which has just been published, we learn that the Industrial Mortars Activity of the Saint-Gobain has made four acquisitions abroad since the beginning of the year.
These investments (Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, Italy) represent a total additional revenue of around EUR 60 million in a full year.
In detail, the Industrial Mortars subsidiary Saint-Gobain Weber has signed an agreement to take a 51% stake in the company PT. Cipta Mortar Utama Indonesia. This stake should be finalized in June 2011, once the paperwork done.
The company employs approximately 210 people in 2010 and achieved a consolidated turnover of about 330 billion rupees, or nearly 28 million.
In addition, Saint-Gobain Weber also acquired in early April, 100% stake in the company Anchortec in Brazil, "benefiting from strong synergies with Weber Quartzolit leading industrial mortars with 19 sites and over 1,300 employees on the entire territory. " Sain-Gobain said qu'Anchortec is a major player in the additives market for construction and one of the three largest firms in the market for flooring, with an average annual growth of 15%.
Finally, these financial investments are added two other acquisitions in Turkey and Promix Edicace in Italy for an additional turnover of ten million.
